Seven Dragons Chinese (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs the website qixiaolong.com, where we sell online Mandarin Chinese courses. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
Who we are
We are an independent publisher of online Mandarin learning material, operated from Xinjiang, China. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to arpshell@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you create an account: your email address, a username, and a password (stored only in hashed form).
When you buy a course: we keep the order record (which course, price, date). Your card or bank details are never sent to us — payment is handled by PayPal through the official WooCommerce PayPal Payments extension, and we receive only a transaction reference and a payment confirmation.
When you study: your course progress (which lessons you opened and completed) and your quiz answers, so we can show you where you left off.
Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security, fraud prevention, and to see which lessons are useful.
Why we use your information
- To create and maintain your account
- To grant and manage access to the courses you bought
- To process payments and issue refunds
- To answer your support requests
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
- To improve the courses
Legal grounds
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering the courses you bought), your consent (optional cookies, marketing email), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that make the site work: PayPal (payments), our hosting provider (servers), and our email delivery service. Each may use the data only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and store preferences. Blocking cookies in your browser is fine, but parts of the site (sign-in, checkout) will stop working.
How long we keep it
Account and enrolment records are kept while your account is active. Invoices and transaction records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules, even if you delete your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, export it, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw a consent you gave. Email arpshell@gmail.com — we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.
